About Me
Hi, I’m Margaret Andem APRN, LCSW—a psychiatric nurse practitioner and psychotherapist with over two decades of experience in the mental health field. My career began in 1999 in Philadelphia, PA, where I worked in urban and suburban communities, and in 2006, I moved to Marianna, FL, to continue my practice.
Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with respected institutions such as the University of Pennsylvania Health System, where I contributed to treatment research in premenstrual syndrome and addictions, as well as with Thomas Jefferson University in addictions research. I also worked as a registered nurse in inpatient psychiatry at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital and in a group home setting. My professional background also includes providing individual, couples, family, and group therapy within outpatient clinics and nursing homes, delivering care that is thorough and client-centered.
In 2003, I opened my first private practice in Pennsylvania focused on psychotherapy. Upon relocating to Marianna, I expanded my practice to include psychiatric medication management in addition to psychotherapy. Today, in my private practice in Marianna, I also incorporate complementary and integrative medicine, lifestyle approaches, and functional psychiatry into the care I provide. This allows me to address the mind, body, and spirit, tailoring treatment plans to meet the needs of those I work with.
